DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -

A new organization aimed at helping Livingston Parish foster families is asking for the public's support.

"The Livingston Parish Foster Kinship Association is to support foster parents in Livingston Parish, children in Livingston Parish, be able to provide different services to the foster parents that they may not be aware of," said Jamie Seal with the Livingston Parish Foster Adoptive Kinship Foundation.

"One of the things the foster association is going to try to do is do what we call 72-hour bags," added Anne Spink, who is also with the foundation. "That would be enough clothing and toiletries to get them through the first 72 hours."

The Chili's in Denham Springs is donating 10 percent of each bill to help this brand new organization.

Even if you can't make it to Chili's Tuesday, you can still help out with this cause.
