Federal government on brink of shutdown

The federal government will run out of money tonight at midnight and shut down  unless Congress and President Obama can come to an agreement.  Watch 9News at 5 for more on how the looming shutdown will affect you.

11 Slaughter residents claim they've become sick since a fire last November at Monolyte Labs.  The mayor of Slaughter says the company hasn't moved quickly enough to clen up the site.  WAFB's Cheryl Mercedes will have more tonight on 9News at 6.
