LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives said they have made two more arrests in connection with an ongoing investigation targeting illegal drugs.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office reported Charles Ziegler III, also known as Ziggy, 32, of Walker, and Nathan Rice, 31, of Denham Springs, were taken into custody on drug charges.

Ziegler is charged with possession with intention to distribute Roxy (2 counts), illegal use of a CDS in the presence of persons under 17 and Prohibited Acts - Schedule II. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Rice faces two counts of distribution of Roxy. He is in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on unrelated charges.

"My narcotics team works around the clock learning who is involved in illegal drugs and keeping up-to-date on what it is we're battling," Sheriff Jason Ard said in a written release. "With successful undercover operations like this one, we've noticed a decrease in the number of complaint calls."

He added more arrested are expected.
