DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - Authorities said a suspect identified using video footage has been arrested in connection with copper thefts from a business and has been linked to several others.
Jared Fedric, 35, of Denham Springs, faces the following charges:
Unauthorized entry of a place of business
Simple criminal damage to property
Deputies said he is accused of damaging seven air conditioning units at Crossroads Storage Facility in Denham Springs to steal the copper inside. They estimated the damage totaled about $56,000.
They began investigating the crime on September 15 and Fedric was arrested on September 19.
Investigators reported he has been linked to numerous other copper thefts in the parish.
Fedric remained in the Livingston Parish Detention Center as of Monday morning.
