A man and two teens were arrested on drug charges as the result of an investigation into illegal narcotics at a south Louisiana high school.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said Edward Williams, 38, Brontriaze Weber, 17, and a 16-year-old girl were booked on multiple drug charges Wednesday afternoon. The suspects are all from Baldwin. The girl's name was not released because of her age.

Detectives said they were contacted to start an investigation into illegal drugs at West St. Mary High School in Baldwin. They reported they learned the teen girl supplied Weber and another teen with Lortab pills.

According to deputies, the investigation led them to Williams's home, where they reportedly saw him give a bag of marijuana to a juvenile. Authorities added there were several other juveniles there at the time.

Investigators reported they learned there were several outstanding warrants for Williams's arrest and took him into custody.

Williams was booked on the following charges:

Distribution of marijuana

Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of juveniles

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor

Simple battery (warrant)

Remaining where forbidden (warrant)

Criminal trespassing (warrant)

Simple assault (warrant)

Aggravated assault (warrant)

Weber faces the following charges:

Possession of Lortab with intent to distribute

Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile

Violation of a CDS law (drug free zone)

The 16-year-old girl is charged with two counts of distribution of Lortab and violation of a CDS law (drug free zone).

No bond was set for Williams and Weber. The teen girl was released to her parents pending juvenile court proceedings.

The investigation is ongoing.
