Deadline today for Caddo Parish superintendent applications

Tuesday was the deadline for applications for those interested in becoming the next superintendent of Caddo Parish schools.

After months of searching, interviewing and finally some heated debate, the search to fill the position ended in August with no superintendent selected and the search was re-opened.

The number of new applicants and their names will not be released until Monday.

For the next several days, the company hired to assist in the search will review the qualifications of the candidates and complete background checks. Board members will review the candidates over a period of 3 weeks in October and pare the list down to the finalists.

A vote is expected to take place on the finalists at the CPSB regular meeting on October 15.

Interviews will take place the following week. According to the Caddo Parish School Board, the timeline for the current search has set the date for selection of a new superintendent on October 24 or 25.
