BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge law enforcement will be getting federal assistance to help battle violent crime in the city.
The B.R.A.V.E. Project will be receiving an additional one million dollars thanks to a federal grant, and will be used to expand the program. B.R.A.V.E. has already gotten a jumpstart in the 70805 zip code, and these funds will help them progress into neighborhoods in the 70802 area.
Mayor Kip Holden and local law enforcement leaders are expected to review the details of the grant at a press conference Monday afternoon, September 23.
