BAKER, LA (WAFB) -

Firefighters gave a stern warning to a 4-year-old boy who accidentally set a fire inside the family home Wednesday evening.

The Baker Fire Department reported it happened on Driftwood Drive around 7 p.m.

Fire investigators said the child was playing with a lighter when the fire started in a bedroom.

The family was able to get everyone out safely, but the fire caused damage throughout the home.

Fire Chief Danny Edwards was called to the scene to explain the dangers of fire to the youngster.
