BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The American Red Cross said 11 volunteers from south Louisiana are now in or on their way to Colorado to help with flood relief efforts.
Officials noted five of those volunteers are from Baton Rouge.
The volunteers will be working in the shelters and helping victims who have been air-lifted from their homes find the best resources in what officials are calling "hosting facilities."
The Red Cross said it knows south Louisiana residents want to help. You can make a financial gift and/or become a trained volunteer.
