Police find drugs, loaded gun in vehicle with child

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, OH (FOX19) -

A North College Hill man faces multiple charges after officers found him in possession of drugs and a loaded handgun while driving in a car with a 3-year-old child.

Anthony Gaston, 33, was arrested on Friday evening in the 6900 block of Clovernook Avenue.

Officers say that Gaston's vehicle was pulled over during a traffic stop. Police say that they could readily smell the odor of marijuana in the driver's vehicle.

Authorities were able to locate marijuana on the driver. A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a loaded handgun, cocaine, a digital scale, nearly $2,000 in cash and several baggies.

Police say Gaston's brother and his 3-year-old child were also in the vehicle. Officers say the child was not in his car seat.

Gaston has been charged with trafficking, child endangering, having a weapon under disability and minor traffic charges.
