BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Mike the Tiger has the final word on whether he will attend football games this season.
LSU Veterinary students work with Mike throughout the summer to prepare him to load into his trailer for home football games, but since he's an adult tiger, he doesn't always comply.
THe LSU Vet School says they will not sedate him or force him to go to the stadium.
"If Mike VI does not attend the pre-game festivities, it is important for fans to know that this does not mean that something is wrong," said Dr. David Baker, LSU's attending veterinarian. "Mike VI is a healthy, normal tiger."
Mike was two when he arrived at LSU in August 2007.
