PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A woman who ran a red light was killed when her vehicle crashed into a pickup truck at a Phoenix intersection Wednesday morning, police said.

The victim is identified as 30-year-old Tina Samora. Her 27-year-old front seat passenger was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Two children, ages 2 and 4, were properly restrained in child seats in the rear of the vehicle, police said. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at Seventh Street and Northern Avenue about 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said Samora was driving east on Northern Avenue and didn't stop for the red traffic signal light at Seventh Street. The 30-year-old driver of the pickup, traveling south on Seventh Street, plowed into the vehicle.

Phoenix police spokesman Officer James Holmes said impairment was not a factor. No charges will be filed.
