The Fish's bio

The Fish has enjoyed a multifaceted career on the road to becoming the newest resident of WBXH the Block. He grew up inDenham Springs, LA and attained a degree in journalism from the Manship School of Mass Communication at LSU. While at LSU, he began his radio career with a three year stint at KLSU. After graduation, The Fish journeyed to the desert of New Mexico to hone his skills. Within weeks of moving, The Fish became operations manager of a three station radio company in a small desert town located one hour west of Albuquerque. He was also the morning show host on the oldies station. In his spare time, he DJ'ed dances at local women's prison.

In 2001, The Fish moved back to Baton Rouge to become the afternoon DJ on the new modern rock station, 104 the X(104.5 and 104.9).  Later that year, The Fish joined up with Rider to create Planet Buzz, a music/entertainment TV show. The two handled all aspects of the show including sales, promotions, programming, production, editing and changing the trash. Over the course of two years and 80 episodes, Planet Buzz hit the streets and covered numerous local events. The show was the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles and featured interviews with bands such as Trapt, Nappy Roots, Fuel, Cypress Hill, Better than Ezra, 12 Stones, Cowboy Mouth, Tomahawk, Vanilla Ice, Trust Company, Devin Townsend, The All-American Rejects and many more.

In March 2004, The Fish hopped on board the team of WBXH the Block. He looks forward to continuing to cover the Baton Rouge entertainment scene and talking to strange people.
