Police search for suspected forger and thief

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a man accused of forging dozens of documents.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Frederick Grayer, known as "Fred G," 50, is wanted on the following charges:

Felony theft

Forgery (43 counts)

Forgery of motor vehicle inspection stickers (10 counts)

Forgery of insurance identification cards (7 counts)

Investigators said between June and August, Grayer made and sold the following fake Louisiana documents:

Temp tags

High school diplomas/GEDs

Insurance cards

Inspection stickers

Doctors' excuses

Occupational licenses

Grayer is 6'4" and weighs 200 pounds.

Police said Grayer's wife, Pamela Brown, was arrested August 20 on related charges.
