LSU board facing suspension, jail over president candidates list

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The LSU Board of Supervisors could be facing suspension, or even jail time for failing to comply with a judge's order to release information relating to the search for a system president.

Judge Janice Clark ordered LSU to turn over the list of candidates for the LSU president position, which eventually went to F. King Alexander.

LSU says Alexander was the only official applicant for the job.

In August, Clark ruled that LSU was in contempt of court and has fined the school $500 each day since then for failing to comply.

Judge Clark told attorneys to return to court at 9:30 Tuesday morning.
