Whiff to help the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund win $30,000 - WAFB 9 News Baton Rouge, Louisiana News, Weather, Sports

Tweet to help the Reds Community Fund win $30,000

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

September is the last month to help the Reds Community Fund by using a simple Twitter hashtag.

Beginning Opening Day, Proctor & Gamble's Head & Shoulders pledged to donate $1 for each MLB strikeout to the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program, which provides inner-city youth an opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of baseball.

Each month, the MLB Club with the most tweets earns an additional $10,000 for their local RBI league.

So far this season, the Reds Community Fund has received $30,000 from the Head and Shoulders for Men Whiff Contest. But in September, the stakes are even higher.

The Reds are in the running to be the season winner of the #Whiff contest. If they win, the community fund will take home the regular $10,000 September prize, plus they could win the $20,000 season winner prize.

So how can you help? If you tweet about the Reds, be sure to tag them (@Reds) and include #whiff. If you see a strikeout, tweet #Whiff and @Reds for every strikeout.

Stay up to date on where the Reds stand on the MLB #Whiff page. You can see what other Reds fans are whiffing about here.
