The defense for the New Orleans Saints gave up points early against the Atlanta Falcons, but tightened up to help secure a 23-17 win in the Mercedes Benz Superdome Sunday.

Rob Ryan's new 3-4 defense pressured Ryan most of the afternoon. However, Stephen Jackson had a chance to make a game-winning touchdown grab on third down in the final minute, but dropped Ryan's pass with linebacker Ramon Humber on the coverage in the end zone.
