BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Firefighters are piecing together evidence to figure out what started a fire that destroyed a Baton Rouge home early Friday morning.
The East Side Fire Department reported it happened on Toronto Drive at London Avenue, which is north of Florida Boulevard off Central Thruway, just before 3 a.m.
Fire officials said crews arrived on the scene to find flames shooting out of the roof of the home. No one was home when firemen arrived.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, but arson investigators were called to the scene.
There were no reports of injuries.
Units from the St. George and Central fire departments assisted East Side.
