Hammond residents given chance to speak on blue laws

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - The people of one Louisiana city will get a chance to voice their opinions Tuesday night about possible changes to blue laws in the city.

The Hammond City Council voted last month to introduce a measure that would let grocery stores and gas stations sell liquor on Sundays.

Right now, it can only be sold at restaurants.

A public input meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at city hall.
