Crabmeat Au Gratin from Boutin's

INGREDIENTS

Crabmeat
1 lb Butter
1 1/2 c onions, diced
1 1/2 c green bell pepper, diced
2 1/2 c flour
1 qt heavy cream
2 c water
1 tbsp chicken base or bouillion cube
1 lb Velveeta
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp red pepper
1 tbsp granulated garlic
1 tbsp Tony's seasoning

PROCEDURE

  • Melt butter, saute onions, bell peppers, and celery until tender.
  • add flour and cook 5 minutes
  • add water and seasonings, whip flour from veggies.
  • add base and cream and whip together.
  • add cheese, reduce heat and cook until thickened.
