GEISMAR, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives said an investigation into suspected illegal drug activity near a mobile home park resulted in three arrests for possession of cocaine and other charges.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported the following arrests:

Thomas Dotson, 38

Scott Landry, 40

Barbara Stoker, 48

Deputies said all three suspects live in a trailer park on Pookey Lane off C. Braud Road in Geismar. C. Braud Road is off Old Jefferson Highway (LA 73).

APSO said surveillance in the area began on August 10. Two weeks later, on August 23, investigators reported seeing two people walk from the trailer park onto nearby Mission Street and make what looked like a hand-to-hand drug deal with a man in a car parked in the middle of the street.

Detectives said they caught up with the two suspects, identified as Dotson and Landry. They added the pair had crack cocaine and admitted buying it from the man in the car. According to reports, the suspect drove off before police could detain him.

Deputies said they then went to Dotson's home to search it. There they reported seizing more crack, marijuana, Gabapentin pills and drug paraphernalia. Gabapentin is a painkiller originally developed to treat epilepsy and is used to relieve neuropathic pain. Stoker, who was in the home when detectives showed up to search it, was arrested at that time.

Dotson faces the following charges:

Possession of cocaine

Possession of a legend drug

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Possession of marijuana

His bond was set at $16,085.

Landry was booked on a charge of possession of cocaine. His bond was set at $5,000.

Stoker faces the following charges:

Possession of cocaine

Possession of a legend drug

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Possession of marijuana

Her bond was set at $16,085.

All three were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, as detectives continue to search for the suspect accused of selling the crack cocaine.
