BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man suspected of road rage was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at another driver on a Louisiana interstate Tuesday evening.
Louisiana State Police reported Mark Rogillio, 25, of Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a charge of aggravated assault.
According to reports, a trooper headed home in his unit shortly before 5:30 p.m. saw a car driving erratically on Essen Lane near I-12 and pulled it over.
During the traffic stop, the trooper said another driver pulled up and claimed someone in a Toyota Solara had pointed a gun at him not far from their location.
LSP said the trooper immediately got back into his unit and went looking for the suspect. The trooper caught up with a Solara and pulled it over as it exited I-12 West at Airline Highway.
According to authorities, the investigation revealed Rogillio had pointed a Taurus 9mm pistol at the other driver because "he was late for work" and "did not want the complainant getting in front of him."
The trooper also reported finding an UZI .22 caliber pistol in the car.
Officials said Rogillio was arrested by the same trooper in July 2012. They added he was charged with DWI and speeding during that traffic stop.
