ExxonMobil plant to pay settlement for environmental violations

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Baton Rouge's ExxonMobil Plant has agreed to pay a settlement for environmental violations.

The Department of Environmental Quality and ExxonMobil agreed to the settlement of nearly $2.5 million in connection with a leak last summer, and other violations over the past five years.

The Attorney General's Office must still approve the settlement.
