DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) - The last man wanted in a drug investigation has been arrested by authorities.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported Henry Knockum, 41, of Donaldsonville, was taken into custody Monday. He is charged with distribution of Schedule II CDS. Bond has not been set.

Narcotics detectives said they started their investigation on July 25 and have made seven arrests. They said five days into the operation they saw a woman involved in what they believed was a drug deal in her car in the parking lot of a business.

They later pulled her over and reported seizing heroin, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said their investigation later led to an arrest warrant for a man and he was picked up on August 10.

APSO reported undercover narcotics agents made several drug buys on July 31 and August 1. Officials said the undercovers purchased heroin, cocaine, morphine, hydrocodone and synthetic marijuana.

They said detectives were then able to get arrest warrants on the other five suspects and have not taken them all into custody.
