Robbery investigation leads to discovery of drugs and guns

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) - A robbery investigation turned into much more when detectives found drugs and several guns in a home Thursday.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office reported Joseph Howze, 31, and Christen Bossier, 29, were arrested. They both live at the same house in Denham Springs.

According to reports, deputies with the LPSO Armed Robbery and Burglary Division, along with the LPSO Narcotics Division, got a search warrant for the home.

Investigators said they found 37 grams of marijuana, a little bit of meth and a small amount of oxycodone. They reported seizing numerous firearms, which will be investigated by detectives.

Howze and Bossier each face the following charges:

Possession of marijuana

Possession of oxycodone

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with a firearm

Illegal use of CDS in presence of persons under 17

Howze's bond was set at $71,000. He was still in the Livingston Parish Detention Center as of Thursday night.

In addition to the above charges, Bossier was also booked on an outstanding warrant for speeding. Her bond was set at $71,384, which she posted and was released the same day.
