BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - All lanes are now open at I-110 South and 22nd Street after a semi hauling wooden pallets lost its load around 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported I-110 South at 22nd Street was completely blocked after a flatbed 18-wheeler lost its load of wooden pallets.
According to police, Daymeon Bradford, 36, of Houston, TX was cited for careless operation after losing control of his flatbed truck hauling the wooden pallets. Police say Bradford's truck flipped over in a curve, losing his load, which damaged eight other vehicles. The eight vehicles were hit by flying debris.
Bradford was taken by EMS to Baton Rouge General Mid-City for minor injuries. No one else was injured.
There were also pallets on I-110 North and it was partially closed from Government Street north.
