BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Mayor-President Kip Holden plans to announce his choice for the new police chief of the Baton Rouge Police Department at 10 a.m.

A news conference will be held in the council chambers of Baton Rouge City Hall for the appointment and official swearing in of the department's next leader.

"This has been a tough decision because all three finalists are excellent candidates," said Holden.

Three finalists, who were interviewed last Tuesday, are: Capt. Noel Salamoni, Capt. Carl Dunn and current provisional chief Carl Dabadie Jr.
