THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) - Police said a man faces aggravated battery charges after turning himself in to them in connection with a stabbing outside a bar Thursday night.
The Thibodaux Police Department reported Terell Thomas, 30, of Thibodaux, faces two counts of aggravated second-degree battery after he allegedly stabbed two people during a fight.
It happened in the 900 block of St. Charles Street in Thibodaux around 10 p.m. Thursday.
According to police, the victims claimed they were trying to break up the fight when they were stabbed. They were taken to the Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and were last listed in stable condition.
Investigators said Thomas surrendered after being contacted by them. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. His bond was set at $250,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
