The New Orleans Saints took the field early Monday morning and it didn't take long for Mark Ingram to do a few push-ups!
Head Coach Sean Payton on the Martez Wilson's elbow injury:"On an injury note. Martez Wilson, we took in with an elbow. We will see where he is at. I thought today was a little bit better from an overall tempo standpoint on both sides of the ball."
Quarterback Drew Brees on working with young receiving corp: "I think it's going really well. I've actually been really impressed with our young receiving corps. With the limited amount of reps they have had, exposure to our offense, and the NFL in general, it's been impressive how they have picked it up and have kind of fallen in line. Each one of them has really done a great job so far in camp with getting lined up correctly with great tempo and making some plays when their number has been called. All of that has been impressive and obviously we have a couple of spots open. You see a lot of guys fighting for that and they are doing well."
Wide receiver Nick Toon on being healthy: "It feels great to be healthy. Obviously this year is the first full year for me. Getting to go through all the offseason training, OTAs, minicamps, and all of that stuff is great. It feels great to be back out here and to be out here healthy."
Center Brian de la Puente on the offensive lineman improvement: "We have put in a lot of hard work. Communication is very important on offense, so as a group I think we are all on the same page. Our goal is to get better every day, stack these practices together and get a foundation set for this season to have a successful year."
Rookie defensive lineman John Jenkins on the difference between the SEC and the NFL: "It's never really an adjustment, it's just where you fit and finding your role onto a great team. That's pretty much the biggest adjustment."
Courtney Roby on improving as a wide receiver: "Well, I mean it's just all about work. You know. Just trying to build chemistry you know wherever I am on the field. I just continue to do what I am coached (to do) and continue to push. Like I always say, everything else will take care of itself, so I come out here day in and day out and put my best foot forward and just work."
Fullback Jed Collins on catching the ball out of the backfield: "I try. I'm a secret weapon kind of thing. We have so much focus on the (Marques) Colston's, the Jimmy Graham's, the Lance Moore's and everybody forgets about me and that's when I receive my touches. I think our offense is built around making them respect my role and respecting me out in routes and I think it will help open things up for everyone else."

Early in practice running back Mark Ingram dropped a pass from Drew Brees and was quickly instructed to start doing pushups.Ingram made up for his earlier miscue with a great one hand grab to bail out Drew Brees on first play of next session.
Brees to Graham! Jimmy Graham gets behind LB Martez Wilson and takes Brees toss to the end zone.
Lewis continues to shine: In one on one drills CB Keenan Lewis and WR Preston Parker from North Alabama made the most impressive plays.
Rookie offensive tackle Terron Armstead having a better second day in pads during one on one pass blocking drills. Charles Brown continues to lineup with the first team.
Malcolm Jenkins intercepts Drew Brees during what should be final session of scrimmage work for this morning. Nice diving scoop just inches off the turf.
Joe Morgan follows Jenkins INT up with a diving reception on a deep ball.
WAFB Sports Director Steve Schneider: "Every days Saints WR Andy Tanner from Midwestern State forces us to notice him. Can't remember the last time he dropped one while I watched."
Martez Wilson shaken up. Leaves the field with staff members immobilizing his left arm or wrist. After practice head coach Sean Payton said Wilson's injury was to the elbow.
Another injury for the Saints: WR Saalim Hakim carted off the field with some kind of leg problem. Payton later said Hakim had cramps.
Team wrapped up practice with sprints at 11:15.
