18-year-old killed in US 190 crash

SATSUMA, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities are investigating a deadly crash on US 190 in Satsuma involving an 18-wheeler and pickup.

According to Louisiana State Police, 18-year-old Livingston resident Isabella V. LaCasse died in the crash. An infant passenger in Lacasse's vehicle was properly restrained, and was transported to a local hospital with only minor injuries.

State Troopers say just before 8 a.m. LaCasse was driving a 2007 Chevy pickup on S. Satsuma Road. At the same time, a 56-year-old man was driving a Mack truck eastbound on U.S. 190.  He was attempting to make a left turn, when Troopers say LaCasse ran the stop sign and the Mack truck hit LaCasse's truck on the driver's side door. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.

All lanes of US 190 are now open after being closed about four hours. The roadway opened just before noon.
