Officers: $30k in meth, $58k in cash found in Butler Co. home

BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

Officers say they found $30,000 worth of a dangerous drug in a Butler County home.

The sheriff said in a release that they'd been investigating reports of illegal drug activity at a home in the 2300 block of Millville-Oxford Road for several months.

Officers from multiple agencies searched in the home Wednesday morning.

Once inside, agents and deputies say they confiscated more than $58,000 cash and a kilo of meth with a street value of approximately $30,000.  

The resident, Billy Joe Ray, 44, was booked into jail and charged with drug trafficking and possession.

Police also arrested Eric Gonzalez-Rivas, 32, of West Chester, OH.  Police charged Gonzales-Rivas has been charged with drug trafficking.

Both individuals are currently in the Butler County Jail.
