Vacant building in Maumee purchased

MAUMEE, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The building on the corner of Holland Road and Dussel Drive in Maumee has been vacant for years, but now it has been sold.

It was sold in June to WLB Holdings for $775,000.

In the past, the building was home to Ambrosia and the old XO Club. A number of businesses have moved in and out due to their lack of success.

"It may be that the property may have been sold to a non-retail user, in which case, that may be a stroke of good luck for the city," said City Administrator John Jezak.

Officials say the building is expected to be occupied by the end of the year.
