DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities have arrested four people, including the suspected triggerman, in connection with a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said Jakil Jones, 21, of Gonzales, is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Brisecon Jasmin of Donaldsonville. The shooting happened in Donaldsonville. Jones is also charged with illegal use of weapons.

The following suspects are charged with principal to second-degree murder:

Max Batiste, 22, of Donaldsonville

Trevel Dunn, 20, of Donaldsonville

Saquan Sullivan, 17, of Donaldsonville

Bond has not been set for any of the suspects. Detectives said more arrests are expected as the investigation into the deadly shooting continues.

Deputies reported they were initially called out to the Dville Village Apartments because of a large fight Sunday night, but couldn't find it when they made it out to the location.

They went back out to the area to investigate a report of shots fired and found Jasmin. He had been shot in the back of the head.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died Monday night.
