BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a seafood place and deli at gunpoint last week.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Edwin Harvey, 26, is charged with two counts of armed robbery. He was taken into custody Monday.
Investigators said he walked into Mom's Seafood on North Foster Drive on July 7 with a handgun and demanded money. They said he did the same thing at Quality Deli, which is also on North Foster, just a few blocks away from Mom's.
Detectives said they collected evidence at the crime scenes that pointed to Harvey as the suspect. They didn't elaborate on the findings.
He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Bond information was not released.
