PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A milestone for the Phoenix Sky Train at Phoenix-Sky Harbor International Airport is expected today.

It's expected to transport its 1 millionth rider since it opened April 8.

It takes travelers between the Metro Light Rail stop at 44th and Washington streets to the East Economy parking lot and Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor Airport.

The Sky Train runs seven days a week, free of charge, and apparently is a popular mode of transportation.
