Uniforms for Kids

Posted: Updated:
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

It's hard to believe area students will soon be heading back to class for the start of a new school year. Over the next few weeks, parents will be scrambling to purchase new school supplies and uniforms.

But, for some in our area, buying new uniforms for their child is a hardship that they simply can't afford. That's why WAFB is once again teaming up with St. Vincent De Paul and Kean's the Cleaners to provide thousands of uniforms for children in the 12-parish area.

However, we can't do it alone. You can drop off new or used uniforms to any St. Vincent De Paul thrift store or any Kean's the Cleaners in the Baton Rouge area. Or, you can send a check to:

St. Vincent De Paul
PO Box 127
Baton Rouge, LA  70821

A simple donation of $24 will buy a child the two uniforms he or she needs to attend school for the whole year. We know that times are tough and any help is greatly appreciated. Together, we can help thousands of kids reach a better future.
