Erlanger man dies on vacation in Little Cayman

KENTON COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

A 73-year-old Erlanger man died while diving off early Sunday afternoon at the Bloody Bay Wall in Little Cayman according to police.

James Klein and his wife, Dona, went on vacation in Little Cayman, an island a part of the Cayman Islands.

Klein was aboard an organized boat dive and faced difficulty as he ascended into the air and lost consciousness according to witnesses.

The crew performed CPR after Klein was transported to the shore. According to authorities, a nurse met the boat at Salt Rock dock and continued to perform CPR until Klein was taken to the local clinic in the dive company's vehicle.

Klein was pronounced dead upon arrival to the clinic.

Police of Little Cayman are investigating Klein's death.
