The Islamic State militant group released a video Tuesday that it claimed shows the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff.
Storms are bringing much needed relief to parts of Arizona this week as heavy rain in Flagstaff broke a nearly century-old record.
The National Weather Service says Flagstaff was hit Wednesday with .94 inches of rain. That beat out a 1919 record of .76 inches for the city.
Heavy rain also hits parts of southern Arizona on Wednesday.
State Department of Transportation officials say the Canoa Ranch rest area along Interstate 19 north of Nogales is closed for repairs due to storm damage.
Toppled power lines cut electricity to the rest stop and water service also was affected by the storm.
National Weather Service meteorologists say additional thunderstorms could also strike parts of Arizona early next week bringing high winds and heavy rain.
