Fugitive captured after accusations of viciously beating girlfriend over Facebook posts

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force has announced the capture of fugitive Donte McGill.

McGill was wanted by the U.S. Marshals and Lorain Police for domestic violence. It is alleged that McGill attacked his live-in girlfriend after an argument ensued over some Facebook posts. Police say McGill beat her for 45 minutes. He then left the residence to go to the store, which gave her the opportunity to call police for help. 

The victim was hospitalized for four days as a result of the vicious beating. 

McGill fled the area to Kentucky after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was arrested there after new charges of domestic violence.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
