Two flood rescues made in Gallatin County

GALLATIN COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

Two separate rescues were made in Gallatin County within miles of one another late Saturday afternoon.

The first rescue occurred on Route 467 east of Glencoe when a man was stuck on a roof. Rescuers in the area were quickly able to save the man using a six-wheeled amphibious ATV, according to a neighbor.

The second rescue occurred several miles downstream, on Route 467 east of Sparta going towards Glencoe. A woman was rescued by a boat after her home was surrounded by rising water from Eagle Creek.
