An elderly woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a crash on I-12 West near Airline Hwy.
The initial investigation has revealed that a dump truck hit a Toyota Camry causing it to lose control. The Toyota Camry was then hit by an 18-wheeler that pushed it into a concrete median.
Police say the driver of the dump truck didn't stop after the crash.
A passenger in the Camry, Ethel Phillips, 74, was taken to the hospital where she later died. The driver of the Camry suffered minor injuries
The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured during the crash.
