LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - A former fire chief will serve more than 60 behind bars after being convicted of nine counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
A judge sentenced Franklin Dale Church to serve seven years for each charge. The sentences will be served consecutively meaning Church could serve up to 63 years in prison.
A jury found Church guilty earlier this month.
The charges stem from incidents between March 2012 and June 2012 with a 14-year-old female and an incident with a 13-year-old girl back in December 2009.
Back in 2010, Church was arrested for having inappropriate pictures of a juvenile on his computer and was charged with 101 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. But many of those were dismissed because the statute of limitations ran out.
