Volunteers team up to fix up Istrouma High

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Istrouma High got a much-needed facelift Friday thanks to dozens of volunteers.

The United Way teamed up with Exxon Mobil and other companies to spearhead the effort, the sixth annual "United Way Day of Action."

"Istrouma High School has been a partner school for over 20 years, so we thought we'd come over and help," said Paul Stratford with Exxon Mobil.

Volunteers built picnic tables, painted walls and cleaned out trophy cases.
