CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Fire engulfed a Montgomery County home Thursday morning, and investigators are still working to determine how it started.

The fire was reported at a home on Dunbrook Drive.

"They kicked in the door, and it was - oh, my God - crazy," said neighbor Susan Clark. "Flames and black smoke filling out."

Neighbors said the homeowner is a civilian worker deployed in Afghanistan. The man's wife and teenage daughter weren't at home at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported in the fire, and the family's pet was rescued.
