Armed robbery suspect surrenders to authorities

FRANKLIN, LA (WAFB) - Deputies said a man wanted for robbing a man at gunpoint in the victim's home turned himself in to authorities Wednesday afternoon.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office reported Breonne Bowie, 25, of Jeanerette, was arrested on several warrants, including armed robbery and armed robbery with a firearm. He surrendered to deputies at the sheriff's office in Franklin.

Investigators said Bowie pulled a gun on a man and took several hundred dollars from him on June 5. They added Bowie and the victim knew each other.

He was arrested on the following warrants:

Armed robbery

Armed robbery with a firearm

Probation violation

Resisting an officer (from Louisiana State Police)

Seatbelt violation (from Louisiana State Police)

Driving under suspension (from Louisiana State Police)

Bowie was taken to the parish jail for booking. Bond was not set.
