Deputies identify suspect wanted for several car break-ins

HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - Authorities report they have identified the man suspected of numerous car break-ins over the past couple of weeks.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said the man seen in a surveillance image is Kenneth Dunkin, 55, of Hammond. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Sheriff Daniel Edwards said Dunkin will be charged with attempted burglary when he is caught. He added the investigation is still ongoing, so more charges may be filed later.

The car burglaries happened in the East Hammond Pleasant Ridge area. Deputies said a camera in the neighborhood captured video of Dunkin.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
