Civil service board to approve BRPD's police chief test scores

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board is expected to approve the police chief test scores at Thursday morning's hearing.

Fifteen people took the test. The names of the applicants who passed will then head to Mayor Kip Holden for his final appointment.

The mayor's office tells 9News Holden is looking to name a permanent chief almost immediately after receiving the test scores.

Meanwhile, Chief Dabadie's provisional term ends Aug. 20th.
