HOUMA, LA (WAFB) -

A man who pleaded guilty to child molestation and child porn charges will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison.

The Office of the Louisiana Attorney General reported Scott Massey, 35, of Houma, was sentenced to 99 years at hard labor after pleading guilty to eight counts of molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13 and eight counts of production of child pornography of a person under 13 years old.

"Our highest priority is making certain that people who commit crimes against our children are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said.

Judge Randall Bethancourt ordered the sentence to be served without probation, parole or suspension.

Investigators with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office said Massey recorded videos of himself fondling children while they slept.

"This is a horrible thing for the families of the victims to have endured," said Asst. Attorney General Kurt Wall. "Their courage and resolve are to be commended."

Massey was indicted on two counts of aggravated rape, six counts of molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13 and eight counts of production of child pornography of a child under the age of 13.
