Body found in Little Miami River

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Police say a body was found in the Little Miami River Friday evening near Anderson Township.

The report was made around 7 p.m. near the 5000 block of Batavia Pike. Someone who was in the area saw the body in the river, an area just northeast of Route 125.

Authorities on scene tell FOX19 the body resembles the description of 19-year-old Otis Andrews of Norwood.

Andrews and five others were reportedly swimming in the river on Tuesday evening when he was taken under. The other swimmers were able to make it to shore.

The body was found less than one mile downstream from Armleder Park, where crews were looking for Andrews.

However, the victim has not yet been positively identified by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.

As more information becomes available, we will continue with updates on FOX19.com.
