Woman killed, 2 others hurt in Butler Co. crash

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

One person has died after a crash Thursday morning in Liberty Township.

Police were called to SR 747 (Princeton-Glendale Road) just north of Willow Ridge Drive shortly after 6 a.m. on a report of a three vehicle crash.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Michael McAninch, 41, of Mason, was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 pickup northbound on S.R. 747.  His vehicle traveled left of center, causing a head-on crash with a southbound 1997 Dodge caravan, driven by Mary Schaeffer, age 56, of Middletown. Schaeffer's vehicle then collided with a southbound 2012 Hyundai, driven by Denise Wuebben, age 59, of Hamilton.

Schaeffer was pronounced dead at the scene.

McAninch and Wuebben were taken to Atrium Hospital, but their condition is unknown.

State Route 747 was closed for several hours for investigative and clean-up purposes, but has since re-opened.  The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team and the Coroner's Office.
